Description &Applications	Ethofumesate-2-keto (EFK) is a synthetic herbicide developed by the Japanese chemical company Nippon Soda Co., Ltd. It is used to control annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in cereal crops, such as wheat, barley, and oats. It is a derivative of ethofumesate and has been used extensively in Japan since the late 1990s. Studies have shown that Ethofumesate-2-keto is a highly effective herbicide, capable of controlling a wide variety of weeds and grasses. In addition, it has been found to be relatively safe to use, with minimal environmental impact.
