Description &Applications	Omethoate is an organophosphate insecticide and acaricide, used for the control of a wide range of insect pests of agricultural, horticultural and forestry crops. It is also used as an acaricide for the control of mites in a variety of crops. Omethoate is a broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide, which is highly effective against a variety of pests. It acts by inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which is necessary for the normal functioning of the nervous system. It has a low toxicity to mammals, but can be toxic to birds, fish, and other aquatic organisms
