  1. 2-tert-Butylimino: The “2-tert-butylimino” prefix hints at the presence of a substituent group attached to the second carbon atom of the compound. The term “tert-butyl” signifies a tertiary butyl group, which consists of three methyl groups (CH3) attached to a central carbon atom. “Imino” indicates the presence of a nitrogen atom in place of a carbonyl group (C=O), forming a double bond with the adjacent carbon atom.
  2. 3-isopropyl: Here, “3-isopropyl” suggests that there is an isopropyl group (CH(CH3)2) located at the third carbon atom of the compound’s main chain. The isopropyl group is composed of a branched arrangement of carbon and hydrogen atoms.
  3. 5-(2-chlorophenyl): This portion of the name indicates the attachment of a phenyl ring (a six-membered carbon ring) with a chlorine atom (Cl) at the second carbon position. The presence of the phenyl ring imparts aromatic characteristics to the molecule, influencing its reactivity and properties.
  4. Perhydro-1,3,5-thiadiazine: “Perhydro” signifies a saturated ring system with no double bonds, while “1,3,5-thiadiazine” specifies a six-membered ring containing two nitrogen atoms and one sulfur atom in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th positions, respectively. This arrangement introduces heteroatoms (nitrogen and sulfur) into the ring, contributing to the compound’s unique properties.
  5. 4-one: The suffix “4-one” indicates the presence of a carbonyl group (C=O) at the fourth carbon position of the main chain. Carbonyl groups are significant in organic chemistry due to their involvement in various chemical reactions and functional group transformations.
